During my nutrition consultations it’s interesting to ask if people take any supplements to their diet.
Now I am not a massive advocator of supplements but I do think they have a place in a diet, but they are just a supplement. i.e they supplement an already solid diet.
If there is one supplement I recommend to all my clients its omega 3 fish oil. Why? Well here are just some of the benefits:
- Reduces inflammation throughout your body.
- Lower blood pressure.
- Has been shown to Reduce cholesterol.
- Helps prevent Coronary Heart Disease.
- Plays a role in Fat Loss and metabolism.
- Helps prevent the onset of Arthritis.
- Helps memory.
However not all fish oils are the same so it is important to chose wisely and make sure you get a pharmaceutical grade one.

As always check with a doctor before supplementing if you take other medications especially blood thinners like Warfarin.
